Steady Gaze
Well, we don't have time to take up Rarity's offer of custom ensembles before we leave, but it wouldn't hurt to look at what the guild has to patch up any gaps in the equipment (apparel, runestones, or otherwise) we have at home. And does Honourshine need any armor or anything?
You decide to browse the outfitter's supplies, and ask Honourshine if she needs anything to wear.
Honourshine: "No thanks. Considering its location, the Kirin Empire's climate should range from temperate to tropical, so I'll be fine. As for armour, I'd rather not encumber myself and risk losing my glasses in a fight if I can avoid it."
A fair point, you concede.
Rarity: "If you haven't already, don't forget to stock up on scrolls and quills; your messages will reach us much faster if they are written down.
Oh, and if there's anything we missed, do let me know, and I will make sure that it comes in the next shipment. After all, providing you with everything you need is of the utmost importance to the Agency. Within reason, of course."

- Medium Tent and a Bedroll
- Machete for clearing the path
- Voyagers Helmet, Goggles, Bandana and Shirt for the appropriate attire
- Pocket Stardial
- a Rope
- two Magic Bandages, the Enchanted Ice and Heat Packs and a First Aid Kit
- some Blank Scrolls, a Blank Notebook, a Quill Pen and a Pot of Black Ink
And some Saddlebags if we can't carry everything home to our own enchanted ones. Though we can save space by putting some of the clothes on already.
- 2 Small sized tents to share (so at least one tent could be used for rest while the other is more "active")
- A compass
- Tooth brush + comb + soap (We gotta show that we still have some class)
- Towels
- Quill pen + Scroll + Notebook + Black Ink
- Chalk stick (In case we can't set a flag point)
- Magic Bandage
- Bed Rolls
- First Aid + Ice Pack
And while we're there, it would surely be rude not to compliment Miss Rarity efforts for making and maintaining her generous supplies and the amount of work it takes look as well as she does (Subtle flirting, but keep it nice and clean)
The limit for both types of tents is one.
So we're settling for the:
- The 4 Pone Tent
...instead then.
* One Pocket Stardial to keep track of the date.
* Four Magic Bandages to speed-up the recovery in case one of us gets injured.
* A Machete. If the Empire is as untamed as Honourshine said, we may need it to clear a path through the wilderness between settlements.
* The Medium Tent and the two bedrolls in case we have to camp in the wilderness. I’m sure Moonflower doesn’t mind sharing one with us. *wink* *wink*
The other items are things we already have or don’t feel necessary for the voyage.
- A medium tent and two bedrolls and blankets for Honourshine and us and Moonflower. (Though maybe it would be worth carrying an extra if somepony joins us or the tropical weather is too hot.)
- A pocket stardial, to know how long we've been away.
- Blank scrolls (x10?), to write to the Agency with. And a Blank Notebook. We should keep a travel log for accountability to the Agency and to clear our mind.
- Machete, for cutting through vegetation.
- A saddle, if our sidereal bag won't be enough to carry the tent and bedrolls. (Wonder if this includes the bags too? Maybe an extra saddlebag if we need it?)
- Magic bandages (x8?) for wounds.
- Heat and ice pack for utility/wound care.
If that doesn't take too long, let's introduce ourselves to the new agents in training, to be friendly!
I'm actually more excited than I should be that Blazer's appearance will change for the foreseeable future.
The Voyager's cowl would be perfect for Honourshine if she had wanted to declare an affiliation with the agency.
I'm not completely sold on if the towel is worth the space it takes up. It'll be hard for it to dry when we pack it up too.
If we hug Honourshine while using the Rune of Homecoming, where would it send Honourshine, since she doesn't have a permanent home? Or is it Rune of homecoming to Trailblazer's house? Or some other scheme?
It's nice we don't have to go to Manehattan Music Management's HQ in Manehattan first.
- What percentage of the Kirin Empire is untamed wilds, and is it too dangerous to camp in our tent there? We'll find out.
- Will there will be any special long journey mechanics as spectrumancer mentioned? Again, we'll find out.
- I wonder if we'll be assigned a ship we can run ourselves, or if it will come with crew. I kind of assume the former, now that we have experience with Apple Basket's sailboat.
Some extra blank scrolls and a notebook. We have a quill and ink in our Sidereal pocket already, but a few extra quills couldn't hurt.
A Stardial, to keep track of the day, we already have a watch and a compass.
Medium tent, some bedrolls, and blankets.
Soap and a towel, Never leave home without a towel. Also, more medical supplies.
Ice and Heat packs will also be handy.
A bandana, to wear around our neck. Not that we need it, you just think you'd look dashing in it.
