Since he seems familiar with Dwarves, you decide to ask Quin Ataraxis if he's ever heard of Elves before.

Quin Ataraxis: "E-ru-vu-su? I can't say I have."

You tell the demon that they are creatures known to the Dwarves, but seemingly no one else you've met thus far, and that you are seeking information about them.

Quin Ataraxis: "And you'd rather not ask the Dwarves, would you? I get it; they are like drunk uncles at a daughter's birthday party. Ha ha! You could try asking the monks, but as foreigners, I wouldn't get my hopes up.

No, it sounds like you need someone who spends all day reading books. I've already mentioned a certain hermit a couple times already, and it's starting to sound like fate wants you to meet."

Honourshine: "It seems awfully convenient that this one demon should have all the answers we seek..."

Quin Ataraxis: "If you came here asking for tools, I'd point you to the smithy. But it's obscure knowledge you're after, and I know the bookworm hoards plenty of that. I'm not saying you'll find what you're after, only that it's a good place to start."

Honourshine: "... Fair enough."

You recall Quin Ataraxis talking about both the Underworld and the Overworld, and ask if he knows whether there are other such worlds.

Quin Ataraxis: "Well, there are the Worlds Beyond the Stars, but those are also beyond me and my old age. I don't remember learning about them in school back in the day, but like as not, I wasn't paying attention. Bah ha ha!"

You figure that it might be yet another question to ask Lexicon Anathema, should the opportunity ever arise. On that matter, you ask the housepony if he would be willing to draw you a rudimentary map of the island.

Quin Ataraxis: "That depends: do you have all week? Ha ha! Best I can do is a map to Lexicon's house from here."

You agree to the latter, and offer Quin Ataraxis some drawing tools.

You give Blank Scroll to Quin Ataraxis.

Quin Ataraxis: "This should do nicely. So like I said earlier, the house is roughly a day's walk east from here, so I'll draw Yinshin-Pintai here on the left.

If you climb down the southern entrance and head east, there will be a river on your left. Follow that river until you pass a mountain with clouds swirling around its peak. To make sure nothing gets lost in translation, we'll call it Cloudy Mountain.

From there, head either north or northeast, depending on your water needs, until you reach the edge of a forest where the trees are made of stone. We'll call it the Forest of Stone. Needless to say, don't get too close to the forest.

Continue east until you reach another river with a village on the other side. We'll call this one Demon Town. If you see a bridge, don't cross it unless you want to visit the demons who live here. Follow the river south and east until you're directly across from the village.

From there, head straight south. You'll eventually spot a single oak tree atop a hill. Climb the hill, and you should be able to see a house in the distance further to the south. That's the hermit's house."

You get Map to Lexicon Anathema!

You thank Quin Ataraxis for taking the time to draw you a map, and add some annotations of your own in Ponish.

Quin Ataraxis: "Of course! It's not every day we meet ponies who need our help. And if you're still interested in seeing a map of the island, I believe the old castle has a map room you'll enjoy. Don't expect to take it with you, though."

You thank the demon again for his help, and ask if there is any way you can repay the favour.

Quin Ataraxis: "Don't feel pressured into it, but if you have the zen to spare, you can always spend some here at the house. Playing with friends is free, but challenging our masters can land you some prizes. If competition is not in your blood, there's also a snack bar in the back selling treats and drinks."
