[Drawing] You roll a 20 (required 10). Critical success‼
As you continue your winding descent, you witness a massive serpent-like dragon fly out of the giant portal in the distance. Without so much as a flap of its four wings, it glides upward and into the clouds above. You decide to ask Tsu-Ko about it.
Tsu-Ko: "That's a dragon. A lon to be precise. They're the ones who control the weather around the island."
Honourshine: "A lon? You mean to say there are different kinds of dragons?"
Tsu-Ko: "Of course. How many kinds of ponies are there again? Well, it's the same thing with dragons."
In Honourshine's defence, dragons tend to look so vastly distinct from one another that you couldn't have guessed as much either. Still, you wonder if their presence in the sky means that they live among the Kirin.
Tsu-Ko: "Some do, some don't. Those who do usually stay at shrines when they aren't travelling, like at the Heibo shrine near Taihon-Nonchan for instance."
Considering the dragons' nomadic lifestyle, you figure that places of sojourn make the most sense for them. And as you gaze off into the horizon, you can relate; the lush green valleys, leading out into the wild — they call to you.
Moonflower: "See anythin' you wanna paint?"
You think that question over, but eventually decide to look elsewhere. First, to the jade waters under the deep blue sky, clear waves rolling in onto the sandy beach. Then, to the colossal gate, its unique architecture and vibrant colours standing tall and out from its surroundings.
You glance over to a nearby blossoming cherry tree, the occasional pink petals fluttering along the gentle breeze. You gaze skyward, past many a dancing flock of birds, to the silhouette of a dragon weaving through drifting clouds.
Then, a shimmer of light draws your attention. That's when you see her: standing in a golden sunbeam, her mane illuminated like a radiant pink flame against the verdant greenery — her dark coat, lit a warm sunset orange in an evening sky. Inspiration strikes. You ask Moonflower if you can draw a portrait of her.
Moonflower: "Me? Heehee... okay! You want my crayons?"
You nod, and thank the bat pony for her help. Before long, you are drawing shapes on your canvas, layering and blending the few colours you have together — just like you've seen Leaf Chaser do time and time again...
A couple of hours later, you return to the training hall with a filled canvas in hoof. For what it's worth, you are somewhat proud of your artwork — but even if it did earn you some praise from your friends, the Kirin's appraisal is what you really need.
As before, Tsu-Ko rings a nearby gong, and a familiar pair emerges from the building across the ground. You share a bow with Master Steelwind and Blade Dancer, then with the sprite's guidance, you formally present your creation to them. The red-haired unicorn glances between the canvas and Moonflower, an amused smile creeping onto her face.
You give Trial Art Kit to Steelwind.
Steelwind: "Is it done, then?"
You nod, though in truth, you feel that you could not improve on it if you tried.
Steelwind: "Very well. Your work of art must now be judged by three unbiased minds. Blade Dancer and I count as two. Your sprite companion will be the third. To pass the second trial, all three of us must be in agreement.
Before we pass judgement, however, you must first tell us about what you have created, and why you believe that it is beautiful."

So it's probably better to take a very platonic angle on this. For all that the adventuring life has taken away, the connection we have forged with Moonflower through thick and thin stands above it all. We can trust that she has our back, as she can trust we have hers. Across species and gender, she's stuck around like nopony else has. That is why she is our muse; that is why, when inspiration struck, it had to be her.
That is something we should keep in mind, in case Lexicon doesn't know much about the bell or turns out to be as uncooperative as the dwarf we've met.
...the only way to truly express it is to recount all our travels. The adventures we had, the bonds we forged, together.
So do that.
