[Exploration] Trailblazer's Cutie Mark (+5) affects your roll. You roll a 5 +5 (required 10). Success!
[Reflex] You make a saving throw of 7 (required 10). Partial success.
After discussing it with your party, you decide to take a shortcut through the mountains to the east. You head to the clifftops at edge of town, and prepare yourselves for the cooler skies ahead as best you can.
You give Blue Cloak of Feather Fall to Moonflower.
Once both of your friends are geared up and Honourshine is seated snugly on your back, you take flight eastward. You glide past a winding river in a verdant valley, and fly up into the highlands, weaving your way between tall snowy peaks as the barren ground climbs higher, and the air grows colder.
The howling of the wind rushing against snow and stone is all that fills your ears for the next few minutes. You fly low, sheltered from the higher currents, and squint your eyes through the occasional bite of alpine frost blasting one way or another.
Moonflower: "Whoa‼"
Out of nowhere, a white blur rushes past you. Moonflower dodges out of the way just in time to avoid getting hit, but as you turn your head to see where it came from, something soft and cold pelts you square in the face.
You veer, half-blinded, and barely have time to shake the snow out of your mane before noticing the angled terrain fast approaching. With a few beats of your wings, you manage to slow yourself down and land safely. Moonflower touches down next to you an instant later.
Moonflower: "You two okay?"
You nod stiffly, a pair of yellow hooves wrapped tightly around your neck. Honourshine breathes a sigh of relief, and you lower yourself to let her off the bumpy ride.
Honourshine: "Thanks, Blaze. And... sorry for squeezing."
Suddenly, a head peeks out from atop a higher cliff. Then, a strange monkey-like creature pops out, and slides down a snowy trail to your level, where it stops to pose triumphantly — tauntingly juggling a snowball with one hand. The culprit, no doubt.
Creature: "Kh kh kh! Stupid Kirin! You can't come here. These are our springs!"
Honourshine: "Is... that a Devourer?"
Tsu-Ko: "Worse: it's an imp. Annoying doesn't even begin to describe these things. Well, warrior, let's see how you choose how to handle that one."

(Also, eesh, almost biffed it. Thank heck for the cutie mark bonus.)
- It's unclear what degree of sapience this creature has, but regardless, I think it's unlikely this imp can be reasoned with in this situation.
- I don't see the point in fighting this creature if we can help it. I'll assume there's no cool loot drop or anything. (No bags equipped.)
- I don't see what this apparently wingless creature can do to prevent us from fleeing besides pelting us with snowballs. As long as they don't hit our eyes, I don't see why we couldn't just tank them.
- I guess the worst scenario for fleeing is if it can sprint as fast as we can fly, such that it forces Moonflower to waste precious flying stamina. But can't we climb high enough to be out of throwing range?
- This creature looks very agile, given its size and bipedal posture. That might make for a frustrating fight. Wish we had magic missile.
- No need to give chase if the creature flees, I think? I guess it could try to make our return journey harder.
I would also take what Tsu-Ko said with a grain of salt. She has a low opinion on Demons, Kobolds, foreigners and basically everything not a spirit and maybe a Kirin.
Also remind Tsu-Ko that she is a warrior too, so she should take some action as well.
(be ready to draw your blade, even if we're trying to defuse this. This critter doesn't look very convince-able)
