As your gaze follows the converging rows of flowers back to the northern hill, you figure that the latter must be a piece of this puzzle somehow. After all, you recall being told by Quin Ataraxis to look for the house from atop that very hill.

With that in mind, you decide to return to the oak tree, all the while keeping an eye on the flowers. As you land at their lines' focal point, your perspective flattens the field's massive geometric shapes into a block of near-perfect squares and rectangles.

Honourshine: "This definitely feels like the right place to stand. The flowers are forming some kind of symbol, but what does it mean...?"

You squint, trying to make sense of it yourself; according to the demons, the hermit's house should be right there in front of you. You keep staring off into the distance until finally, as your vision tunnels in... you begin to see it.

The flowers paint a wooden lattice, a sliding door, a veranda; the curve of the southern hill forms a roof over it all. You see a ghostly house, hidden in plain sight, just down the hill. And as you take a few steps toward it, it strangely maintains its shape, warping the fields around itself.

Honourshine: "Blaze? Did you see something...?"

You turn around to tell your friends what you saw, but when you glance back at the house to describe it to them, it is gone. You blink, trying to focus your vision again, but the shapes are now squashed and fuzzy. You retrace your steps back up the hill, and try again from there.

Moonflower: "Ooh, I think I see it!"

Honourshine: "And it disappeared as soon as you looked away?"

Tsu-Ko: "Well, isn't that a clever trick! Couldn't those demons have said something?"

You point out that you did get to the bottom of it in the end, either way. Or so you think, at least; you have yet to actually make it to the house — but that is exactly what you intend to try next.

With the flower-drawn house in your sights, you and your friends begin to walk southward. As you approach the surreal building, you feel as though the fields around you stretch outward while the mountains shrink into the horizon... but you keep your eyes forward.

Moonflower: "Whoa...!"

Upon reaching its grasslike doorstep, you take a good look at the house from up close. You spend a moment trying to make sense of it, but you cannot; the walls are like giant mirrors acting as spyglasses, distant flowers waving in their reflections. The roof above is slated with tiles of glassy skies that cast no shadows.

Honourshine: "So... do we knock, or...?"

Like a whisper on the wind, the echo of a soft, girlish voice mumbles in your ears.

Voice: "Who is it...?"

Unsure where the voice came from, you decide to address the door. You answer that you are travellers seeking an audience with Lexicon Anathema. In response, you hear the flutter of pages, followed by a dull thump. Then, the voice returns.

Voice: "With me? Ah, well... Should I make tea? No, wait... Um... First, what's in it for me?"
