You arrived in Shui-Ti, a small coastal village of the Kirin Empire, after a few days of studying magic aboard your ship. There, you chanced upon a familiar face by the docks: Azure Spark, the plush toy merchant from Amblerta. She agreed to trade some local currency with you, and gave you some advice to get started in this foreign land.

Following that advice, you tossed your precious hairpin into a fountain in exchange for the guidance of a language barrier-breaking sprite named Tsu-Ko.

With Tsu-Ko's help, you began to ask around for information related to your quests. On the subject of Dirt Flaxen, you learned that a foreign bard had recently gone through a local portal to the town of Taihon-Nonchan.

You also learned more about how your missing memories may be found. According to a Kirinese monk, it could be as simple as finding someone — or something — with memories of you that precede your own.

While waiting for daylight to reach Taihon-Nonchan, you decided to cross the town's portal over to the city of Yinshin-Pintai. There, you learned about some of the local history, and met the gaming house's master Quin Ataraxis.

As a rare reputable demon, Quin Ataraxis was able to answer some questions that most would not. Notably, he gave you directions to a demon hermit by the name of Lexicon Anathema who specializes in obscure knowledge.

Shortly after day finally broke over in Taihon-Nonchan, you travelled there in search of Dirt Flaxen. After searching in the sweltering heat, you eventually found the pop star working in a rice field just a short flight away.

You listened to his struggles with being a public figure, and convinced him to return with you to Equestria so that a solution may be found.
